Converting to Organic Farming

In many ways Organic farming methods are a return to traditional values and farmers need to consider carefully whether Organic systems suit their farm Converting to Organic

The livestock type and stockperson's abilities, even more so the management of the land, plays an immense part in the success of the Organic farming system. It is no longer a case of grabbing for a bag or bottle to resolve problems

The conversion period starts 2 years before the milk is even deemed to be Organic. Cows are fed a fully organic diet for a minimum of six months before they are classed as producing Organic milk. It is a highly governed and regulated process, this provides the robust confidence in the end product
