Leslie Head farms High House all on his own and has built it up from 20 acres in 1972 to its current size (385 acres) by buying and leasing additional local land
He started running the farm on an organic basis in the 70s because of his care for the wellbeing of the countryside
|
Leslie was not a registered organic farm at that stage and was not receiving premium organic prices for his milk
He breeds all his own cattle and has a closed herd that started with Friesian but has moved to Shorthorns
