Farmers are accredited to receive groups of children on to their farm to interact with all areas from animal management and welfare to wildlife and plants
An interesting question to ask your pupils is "Have you ever visited a working farm?" We suggest most will say no, which is why this scheme is such a great way to give them a once in a lifetime experience
One school that is taking part is Beacon Junior School in Falmouth. The feedback from the school has been fantastic
"Our children need to experience a life away from an estate. It gives them hope and a different perspective. It changes their lives with fantastic memories of an amazing experience where they felt safe, happy, excited and proud of themselves" Literacy coordinator, Beacon Junior School
